Leadership & Administration

Pride & Joy embraces a balanced team approach in the classroom, as well in in administrative roles. Each location had a dedicated Program Director, who’s focus is on children, families, and developmentally appropriate programming. Program directors work directly with teachers to implement and ensure excellent learning environments are achieved, and that individualized learning plans are in place for each child. Teachers confer with the program director in regard to the development of the children under their care, and work with them to contact support services within the community when necessary, and to maximize the integration of students with specific needs, such as English as a second language, or needs such as integration of children with special needs. The program director appraises the progress of teachers and staff, and applies interventions as necessary, to further staff development. Through positive relationships, the Program Director acts as a liaison between staff, teachers and school officials, and is responsible for leading through developing a common set of goals, staffing the center with the best individuals for each position within the organization, and obtaining the resources necessary to achieve a set of collective goals.
